Explore the chapters of our Chiki story, which unfolds the resilience of an empire established from scratch to build a brand that embodies the perfect harmony of quality and innovation, through victories and setbacks, and into a business that endures through time and taste

Established in 1962, the story of Jalaram Chiki began when the Raghuvanshi family, facing financial hardships, embarked on a journey filled with determination.

Natwarlalbhai Chotai, a family member, leased a small space in Rajkot’s Soni Bazar and initiated a seasonal business, starting with a humble stall.

Their entrepreneurial journey was marked by unwavering commitment and hard work, with the family selling sugarcane juice in the summer, tea during the monsoons, and producing and selling Chiki in the winter.

Despite numerous challenges, the family prioritised their values and focused on building a thriving business.

Over time, their seasonal enterprise, known as the Jalaram Chiki, gained popularity, prompting a shift towards Chiki production and significant output increase.

This transformation was initiated by Natwarlalbhai, who introduced the term “Chiki” from Maharashtra, defining its size and creating a cutter machine, leading to the rise of Jalaram Chiki’s popularity.

This success story, initiated a humble stall business in Rajkot's Soni Bazar, has become a renowned brand known as ‘’Jalaram Chiki’’.

The late Natwarlal Ghelabhai Chotai’s dedication to quality and ethics laid the foundation for this renowned brand.

Prakashbhai Chotai and Manojbhai Chotai, at the ages of 16-18, assumed professional responsibility, prioritising customer interest over profit and focusing on customer trust.

Today, Jalaram Chiki produces 24 types of Chiki’s, with a factory in Rajkot and six retail stores, gaining global recognition for their Chiki production and emphasising the significance of business skills over sentimentality.

Jalaram chiki has earned an immense reputation, retaining customers for three generations
